The mark is odd ... or placed wrong direction on the ring .

I say its the square with number in it but double stamped or broken

I once saw a similar ownership signature on the coin - Thaler. It was a signature literal "tying" (monogram) - in which case it would be the letters "IC" or "IO"...

But of course I could be wrong.
